Snowboarding Tricks - Butters1

Butter is an interesting ground trick that entails making a series of 360-degree turns. This can be done on a moderate slope in which speed and moves can be built up. Moreover, other Snowboarding Skills can be incorporated in this trick. In this section, learn how to perform basic Butters:

STEP 1: Find a moderate slope with as little human traffic as possible. Start riding straight downhill.

STEP 2: Lift the back of the board and pivot off the front to turn the back to the front.

STEP 3: Continue to turn with the board's nose in the air. Do not elevate it too high so you will be able to maintain your balance and avoid falling over.

STEP 4: Put the board's nose down halfway through the turn. At this point, make a ground spin to finish the turn.

Up to 50% off

STEP 5: Continue the ground spin until you reach your original position.

STEP 6: You have now completed the basic Butter.

Keep on practicing until you get comfortable doing the basic Butter. Once you get used to performing it, you can move on to other Snowboarding Tricks.

No you don't have to start with riding fakie. It's just an animation so you can see it clearer.
I would assume it's different for everyone but if you're a regular, it would probably be best to start with that stance first.

Does it matter which way to spin? Like, I''m a regular, does it make a different if I spin clockwise or counter-clockwise?
