These are a completely aluminum base and backing binding, and are pretty stiff. I'm a mountain/freestyle rider, and I don't like my binding to have a lot of give in the turns, so these are great. They're very responsive, especially on those steep runs that don't forgive a misjudgment very easily. They also offer a lot of variety when it comes to adjustment-;the straps alone each have their own specific settings, with the ratchet and an additional screw adjustment on the outer edge. The toe straps are also convertible, so they can either lay across the arch of your foot, or be across your toes. I prefer to ride with the toe setting in place, and the pressure on my feet is pretty minimal that way.
Mounting is really simple, and the bindings and screws fit flush on the board very well. There's even the option of fitting a Burton board, since the screws can also be placed in a triangle, in addition to the classic square.
Very solid binding, responsive, and great for all-terrain, mountain, or freestyle riding. I really enjoy them.
