Avalanche Probes are one of the most important tools for avalanche search and rescue. Probes look like tent poles and are used to quickly pinpoint the victim that you have located using a beacon. It is useful in finding the perfect spot for digging a snowpit. There are available long collapsible probes that are lightweight and easy to use. There are also ski poles that can be converted into an avalanche probe. These poles are screwed together to form one long probe. This tool is very important in locating the victim especially when the victim is not wearing a transceiver. We have a selection of Avalanche Probes from various brands and suppliers.
