NZ Snow Trainers offers snowboard instructor and freestyle programs in Queenstown, New Zealand. Whether you're thinking of spending a southern hemisphere winter improving your snowboarding skills, if you're taking a gap year, break from work, or considering a career in snowboarding, our programs are a great way to experience what a New Zealand winter has to offer.
Our professional examiners and coaches will help you achieve your goals whatever they may be, from becoming a qualified instructor to ruling the terrain park!
The Snow Trainers Instructor Program is a 10-week course. Our aim is to develop the skills necessary for you to successfully achieve your New Zealand Snowboard Stage One Qualification, and to develop your own riding skills, while having a great time. The program includes:
30 Days of on-snow training at either Coronet Peak or The Remarkables ski areas by fully qualified professional trainers and NZSIA examiners.
10 Weeks Accommodation in Queenstown, walking distance from the town centre.
Park and Pipe Sessions.
Video Analysis Sessions.
2 Day Backcountry Course including avalanche rescue training.
NZSIA Snowboard Stage One Exam fees and Technical Manual.
3 Mountain Season Pass for Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt.
Mountain Transport.
Airport Transfer from Queenstown Airport.
Heliboard Trip.
Bungy Jump.
Snowboard jacket and hoody from RPM.
Subway lunch on training days.

The NZ Snow Trainers Freestyle Camps run for 2 or 4 weeks. We train at 3 different terrain parks - Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and the awesome Snow Park, with some of New Zealand's top sponsored riders and coaches. They'll teach you everything from your first 180 to a Cab 9, or get you progressing from 50/50's to the most difficult boardslides. Whatever your ability and whatever it is you want to learn, our coaches will get you there!
As well as the parks there will be plenty of freshies around to go back country and build kickers with nice soft landings. A must for that first back-flip attempt!
Camps Include:
- 5 days a week training, 3 hours per day
- Lift passes for training days
- Transport to and from mountains on training days
- Accommodation in Queenstown

The instructor program runs for 10 weeks and includes training 5 hours a day, 3 days a week.
The freestyle camps are either 2 or 4 weeks and include training 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.

The instructor program will have a maximum of 5 people per examiner/trainer, helping you to get the most out of your training. We train for 5 hours a day, 3 days a week, for 10 weeks.
The freestyle camps will have a maximum of 5 people per coach, helping you to get the most out of your training. We train for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 2 or 4 weeks.
We include lunch from Subway every training day and a bus season pass for you to use whenever you want to go riding.
Insurance is not included but is essential for all participants. |
