You're standing in the middle of an untouched powder-kissed paradise; you click in to your bindings, take a deep breath of pure mountain air and contemplate the majesty of your surroundings. You push off and glide into exhilaration. Powder flies, adrenaline pumps and you soon become a tiny figure amongst the immense silence of the mountain world. At the bottom the helicopter awaits to lift you effortlessly to the top of another peak. Your guide will lead you to the day's best snow conditions. At lunchtime a gourmet picnic with an unbeatable view then it's time to do it all again.

With exclusive access to terrain stretching from Queenstown to Mt Cook, Harris Mountains Heli-ski (HMH) will find the perfect terrain to suit your ability. WHO CAN HELI-SKI / HELIBOARD
If you can ski, you can heli-ski
Ideally you are a strong intermediate skier/boarder or better, with a sense of adventure. Harris Mountains Heli-ski (HMH) has exclusive access to extensive terrain in Queenstown, Wanaka and Mount Cook. Easy rolling terrain for powder first timers, wide open bowls and challenging chutes with steep valleys for the more experienced. You'll be part of a group of four led by a guide who is committed to your safety and enjoyment of this alpine environment. Complete our Ability Questionnaire at our office or on our website to help establish the best group for you.
Heli-skiing works like this
- Early in the morning we check the weather and then we contact you.
- If it's on, we'll pick you up and take you to the staging area where you're introduced to your pilot, guide and fellow heli-skiers.
- A safety briefing is given covering avalanche transceivers, helicopter and mountain safety, then you fly off to the first heli-ski run.
- All groups meet for an alpine buffet lunch with time to relax.
- The afternoon is back to the ultimate - more heli-ski runs
If weather conditions preclude flying you can reschedule to the next day. Reservations must be reconfirmed by 6.00pm

'Max Vert' for advanced skiers/boarders who know they'll push the limits! After 7 runs the choice is yours, go home or go for more runs. Some of our Max Vert groups ski 10-15 runs a day.
Queenstown Fly/Fly Option $160.00pp
Add this to any of the heli-ski options if you'd like to fly to and from your remote staging areas. An exciting and scenic option.
Mount Cook Heli-skiing from Queenstown

An awe inspiring scenic flight from Queenstown to the Mount Cook region starts the day. Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest mountain and the area offers high altitude heli-skiing/boarding. After 5 or 7 runs in this magnificent environment and an alpine lunch, your group may upgrade for extra runs before your flight back to Queenstown.
Extra Runs $85.00 per run
Extra runs are available subject to conditions and agreement from a minimum of three clients per group.
