Ski Apache
Located minutes away from Ruidoso, New Mexico, Ski Apache has set a goal to provide the best ski experience for all ages and abilities. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels will find the perfect variety of terrain on 55 trails served by 11 lifts, including New Mexico’s only gondola.
Ski Apache’s huge lift capacity allows more time for skiing, so lines are rare. Top quality grooming, snowmaking and climate all enhance a visit here. High elevations between 9,600’ and 11,500’ provide abundant snowfall, yet sunny days are plentiful. And be sure to heck out the views from the top of the gondola or Apache Bowl – they’re spectacular on a clear day.
Beginning skiers or snow boarders receive a FREE lift ticket with the purchase of any group lesson on their first day, excluding weekends. Instruction is available for all ages and ability levels to increase skills and enjoyment of the mountain.
The Boneyard Terrain Park
Ski Apache is pleased to offer its new terrain park, the “Boneyard,”
The Boneyard is located on a great piece of terrain that is very visible and easily accessible for both skiers and snowboarders. At the Boneyard, you'll find a series of features that flow from one to the next. There are a total of 5 boxes, a rainbow box, 3 flat rails, a flat-down-flat rail, an A-frame rail and a battleship rail. The terrain park ends with a series of jumps near the bottom. These features will be a nice challenge for seasoned snowboarders and skiers looking to test their skills.
Just to the northwest of the ski lodge, the Boneyard is conveniently located to the left of the Lincoln lift and can be accessed off of Lincoln’s midway unload. The site was chosen for the terrain park because it is an easily accessible area for snow making. The good location will help Ski Apache ensure the site is in good condition day after day.
