Mountain Creek is a year round resort getaway, just an hour's drive from the George Washington Bridge. Situated in the beautiful Vernon Valley of Northern New Jersey, our resort is right in the middle of great family outdoor and indoor activities throughout the year. In the winter, we're a full-on ski, snowboard and snow tubing resort, with 46 trails, 11 lifts, a huge network of terrain parks, the regions only Superpipe, and world class lodging facilities. As winter changes to Spring, the Diablo Freeride downhill mountain biking park and the water park emerge from the snow-covered landscape to provide tons of fun and thrills. Autumn brings the brilliant foliage the region is known for, and offers great opportunities including hiking the Appalachian Trial, world class golf, apple picking, mountain biking and so much more. Our luxury resort lodging townhouses serve as the perfect home base for these and more activities year round.

Winter is not the time to sit on the couch and watch TV. Skiing was one of the first activities that people realize that winter is not only a ton of fun, but a season to look forward to! Over the years, the equipment has changed, but the heart of the sport remains the same. Good, clean, healthy outdoor family fun. Skiing continues to attract all ages to the beautiful snowy mountains each winter. And with today's shaped skis and perfected teaching techniques, learning has never been easier. Really - you can do this!
Evolution. Progression
Remember when people thought snowboarding was just another fad that would soon disappear? Surprise! Snowboarding has taken the planet by storm. And we're not surprised - it's fun, pretty easy to learn, and it's constantly evolving and progressing. In fact, the recent boom in progressive skiing has been credited directly to the evolution of snowboarding. Two sports that once looked at each other funny - now totally bonded around the ideas of getting out, doing your own thing and having fun.

Over the years, we've dedicated more and more trails, manpower and machines to the pursuit of progression in terrain features. We use the latest techniques and equipment (can you say Zaugg!) and the insight and talent of local and national riders and freeskiers who just plain get it, to help us drive park design. But it's really about a total connection between freethinking park designers and the riders and skiers who push it here every day - that's how we evolve the sport and ourselves. And it must be working! In the last year our parks and superpipe have been recognized by big boys like Transworld and Freeskier, and have hosted major Pros and park filmmakers.
We've put our money where our pipe is, and it shows! That's right, our SuperPipe is once again super-ER! So what's new this year? Michael and the boys worked tirelessly his summer, adding new drainage, improving the dirt structure and lines, and installing HUGE snowmaking power from our friends at TurboCristal. You'll notice the new permanently pole mounted yellow behemoth fan guns all along the SuperPipe wall. Translation? You'll see more snowmaking in the SuperPipe very early in the season, and it WILL be open faster! Want more? We've heard you - this year, we've made adjustments to our event schedule to maximize the amount of time that the pipe will be open to the public. See you there. |
| Snowtubing | If you like to sledding, you'll love snow tubing at Mountain Creek! It's one of the fastest growing winter activities in America because nearly anyone can do it! Tube down one of our 7 lanes at thrilling speeds, and then hop on our Magic Carpet people mover for the ride back to the top. With it's own hill separate from the ski slopes (across the street from the Vernon Base), 100% snowmaking and night lighting, you can't beat the great family fun of snow tubing at Mountain Creek.
Snow Tubing is open Thursdays through Sundays for 1-hour sessions. Tubing requires a special ticket, as listed below. Due to it's popularity, sessions frequently sell out. To guarantee your tubing session, you can book your session in advance online or over the phone. Advance bookings must be completed a minimum of 3 days prior to your planned session.
All participants must be at least 5 years old AND 44 inches tall. All tubing participants are required to present a signed tubing waiver prior to admission. |
