Bousquet Ski Area

Bousquet boasts an enviable location a few miles south of Pittsfield, the largest city in the Berkshires. With 21 trails almost evenly divided by ability level, two double chairs and three surface lifts, and most of the terrain available after dark, the mountain hums day and night to the sound of happy kids and adults. The kids may be laughing and learning in Bousquet’s Ski School, a fixture since 1935. The adults may be getting ready to hit the gates in a night racing league. Whatever the reason, Bousquet provides Pittsfield’s skiers and riders a very convenient snow fix when they can’t get away for a weekend “up north.”

With modern snowmaking and grooming, the scenic Berkshire Mountains all around you, and a lively small city just a few minutes away, going up north isn’t really necessary, unless you’re looking for a bit more than Bousquet’s 750 feet of vertical. But there are some nice long runs available, in particular the intermediate duo of Main Street and Russell Slope from the summit. The toughest pitches are off the top of the longer of the two doubles, while beginners have the terrain off two of the three surface lifts all to themselves.

At the base you’ll find a large lodge with a big second-level deck, a lounge, rental shop, and a ski shop.

If you want to make a weekend out of a visit to Bousquet, there’s more than enough to do in the region. Start with plenty of lodging and dining choices in Pittsfield and surrounding towns, antique and curio shops, galleries and theaters. Cross-country skiing and snowmobile touring are also popular.

Snowboarders comprise about 30% of our business here at Bousquet. Why you say!! Because we have something for riders of all levels of expertise.

For the beginner we have gentle, smooth slopes & a crew of snowboard instructors. For intermediate riders we offer more challenging slopes with just the right amount of natural terrain & jumps to get you airborne.

The Terrain Park - Check Out The Hits Now
Come on out and get some big air on our tabletops, gaps and other hits at Bousquet. We hope to see you this spring!

The park features many different hits and offers something for everyone. Start off with a couple of low bars to warm up & get your blood flowing. Move on to a couple of pyramids to get you loose. Finish off your run with a 10 foot gap, a 30 foot gap and a 25 foot high jump at the base of the run ...

USASA Certified Instructors & Competitions
Our snowboard instructors (Noah & John) coordinated 3, USASA (United States of America Snowboard Association) events at Bousquet this past season. The results of their work can be evidenced by the fact that Bousquet borders place 1st in 5 of 9 Massachusetts Series Completions in March 2005.Snowtubing  Our Tube-Town Operation
Come Tubing at Bousquet and enjoy the great outdoors. We offer great family fun at affordable prices. Take a break at our snack bar with kid friendly choices & prices.

We offer 4 - 5 tubing chutes and our easy to ride Magic Carpet for an easy, child friendly, lift back up the tubing hill. We supply the tubes - please leave your tube(s) at home as they are not allowed.

Age Requirement
Children must be 5 years of age or older. They must be able to ride the tube on their own.

Release of Liability
All tubers at Bousquet are responsible for signing a release of liability. Parents/Guardians must co-sign the form for tubers under 18 years of age. Forms are available at the ticket window. To save time we encourage you to print out & complete the liability form prior to coming.

Group Tubing Events
Planning a tubing party for a school, church or family outing? Our Tube Town area is large enough to accommodate group fun.
