Schweitzer Mountain
Stand at the top and stare at three mountain ranges, Canada and two states. Enjoy a variety of terrain from smooth corduroy groomers to wide open bowls and gladed runs. Then return to the top at hair flying speed thanks in part to Stella. Stella, as you will soon discover, is Idaho's only six-person high-speed lift.
Schweitzer Mountain Resort is nestled at the base of the Selkirk Mountains in the Idaho Panhandle. Overlooking the town of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille, Schweitzer Mountain has long been famous for its massive snow-filled bowls and breathtaking views into three states and Canada.
Schweitzer Mountain Resort is owned by Harbor Mountain LLC, a partnership between Harbor Properties, Inc. in Seattle, Washington and McCaw Investment Group. The partnership purchased Schweitzer in Dec. 1998.
ABOUT US Schweitzer Mountain Resort is nestled at the base of the Selkirk Mountains in the Idaho Panhandle. Schweitzer sits on 7,000 acres, with 2500 acres of skiable terrain. Schweitzer also hosts a year-round growing resort community of commercial business, residentials homes and condos units.
Schweitzer Mountain Resort is owned by by a Seattle, Washington-based investment group who assumed sole ownership the summer of 2005. Under the new ownership, Schweitzer plans to continue fulfilling its 10 year master plan which includes a comprehensive village environment, additional lodging, upgraded facilities and mountain offerings.
