Crested Butte Mountain Guides has been operating as the premier guide service in the Crested Butte area for over 15 years. All of our guides are trained by the American Mountain Guides Association, and we follow AMGA guidelines and focus on professionalism, safety and fun. Located in the town of Crested Butte at 9,000' we have easy access to the backcountry for a variety of activities.

During the winter we specialize in offering backcountry skiing and snowboarding; hut trips, ice climbing at the Ouray Ice Park, and in offering AIARE (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education) Level 1, 2, and 3 courses. Summer activities include mountain biking, mountaineering, rockclimbing, hiking, and backpacking. We also specialize in offering multi-sport combination trips, women's trips, and custom trips. We offer all of our activities to people of all levels and abilities and run group trips and private custom trips.
