Marblewood Village Resort is nestled at the base area of Marble Mountain ski area - "The Best Kept Secret in Canadian Skiing!" Yes, the abundant natural snow, 1,700 foot challenging pitch, uncrowded lifts and trails and one-of-a-kind local hosts have defined Marble Mountain for the past 30 years! No wonder the locals tried to keep it a secret for so long.

In 1999-2000, Marble added new groomed trails, competition halfpipe & terrain park to meet the growing number of snowboarders hitting the trails at Marble. The Pipe is a big hit and surely will be a great addition to Marble's line-up for years to come.

Marble boasts one of the best lift pass values in North America at just $30 per day (20 bucks US!) and with relatively uncrowded trails and lifts your thighs will always quit before your patience with lift lines and crowds.
SKI & SNOWBOARD TRAILS & ROUTES
General    At Marble, skiers enjoy one of the best "skier's mountain" you'll find anywhere! The terrain choices range from long, relatively flat trails (like Country Road - 2 miles long!) to some of the steepest, gnarly groomed and bump runs in the east. Always abundant natural snow, Marble offers that hard-to-find velvet natural skiing surface that elevates one's ability and applies day long smiles!
Skiing  Nordic Skiing
One of the best nordic clubs in eastern Canada can be found right here in the Corner Brook area at the Blow Me Down Cross Country Nordic Club. The Blow-Me-Down Club successfully hosted the 1998 Jeep Junior Nationals and the 1999 Jeux Canada Games biathlon and Nordic events and had an opportunity to show off to the nation in style.

Located just west of the City of Corner Brook, the Blow-Me-Down Club is a short drive from Marblewood Village and is a a great add-on to your family winter vacation in the Corner Brook area.

Adventure Skiing on the Earth's Mantle
How about skiing on 500 million year old mountains? Mantle Rock. Pushed up from beneath the earth's crust, burdened with deep snow and in view of the ocean.

Blomidon's heated snowcat will lift you up 2,200 vertical feet to fabulous skiing and snowboarding with spectacular views away from lifts, line-ups and crowds. The snowcat rides of 10-15 minutes give you time to relax, clean your goggles, and warm up between runs. Their season can stretch from mid-December to late April and whether you come with friends or are travelling alone, you will find a great time to be had by all.

Friendly, experienced guides will find the most favorable snow conditions daily and ensure everyone has a great alpine experience. Fat ski rentals are available to help everyone ski like an expert. Blomidon Cat Skiing provides shuttle service to and from accommodations, ten runs in the mountains, snacks and a great lunch.

Located in the Bay of Islands on the west coast of Newfoundland, the cat operation is easily accessed by two regional airports at Deer Lake and Stephenville - just under an hour from the operation.

Our area is becoming well known for alpine adventure and in addition to cat skiing visitors can enjoy the very challenging terrain of Marble Mountain Resort or spectacular ski touring at Gros Morne National Park.
Snowmobiling  Take a backcountry snowmobile tour from your home base at Marblewood Village and you'll not soon forget this incredible experience! There's nothing like cruising the backcountry under sunny skies - especially in the warmer days of Spring. Let Marble Mountain Adventure Company put together a snowmobile tour package for you complete with guides, snowmobile rental, and a backcountry tour that can last for 2 hours up to a full day.

Ride with us and experience some of the most breathtaking backcountry vistas that can be found anywhere in the world. The trailhead begins right outside your doorstep at Marblewood Village Resort and you can "Sled 'n Stay" for as many nights as you choose.

Our snowmobile tours can be added onto any Marblewood vacation in combination with skiing or any other outdoor adventure activity. Rates for guided day tours start at $125 per person per day based on a minimum group size of two people for a half day adventure and $200+HST per person per day for a full day adventure.
