Day 1
Welcome to the heart of the Canadian Rockies home to some of the world's most famous powder resorts. Our Canada snowboard tour will begin at Calgary International Airport. From here we'll drive you 3.5 hours to the picturesque resort town of Fernie. Here we'll stay in stylish apartments a short walk from the center of town.
Day 2
Today we'll hit Fernie Resort, recently named North America's Resort of the Year by the Good Skiing and Snowboarding Guide. Today will be a warm up day a chance for your coach to evaluate your development needs and to work with you to determine your goals for the rest of the trip. With a bit of luck, you'll get your first taste of BC's infamous powder. After a great day of riding, we'll head to downtown Fernie for a well-earned dinner.
Day 3
Another day to explore the varied terrain, deep snow and huge skiable area of Fernie Resort. After a full day of coaching and riding, we'll head back to Fernie for our last evening in this relaxed resort town. Tomorrow our Canada snowboard tour will head even deeper into the magnificent Rockies.
Day 4
Our final day of riding at Fernie Resort. We'll enjoy a last taste of Fernie's deep powder and wide bowls before heading west to reach two more infamous resorts Red Mountain and Whitewater. Departing late afternoon, we'll arrive late evening in Nelson, our home for the next four nights. Set beside a spectacular lake, Nelson is an artists community that has grown into a vibrant town of cafes, award-winning restaurants, galleries, live theatre and colorful historical buildings. Here we'll stay in a newly built boutique 4 ½ star hotel that offers spectacular lake views and easy walking access to downtown Nelson.
Day 5
Both Whitewater and Red Mountain ski areas are fairly close to Nelson so today we will ride/ski at whichever resort has the best conditions. After a solid day of riding/skiing we will have an opportunity to check out the many top quality bars and restaurants this thriving little community is known for.
Day 7
Those who opted for the cat boarding are in for a treat a full day of powder riding deep in the Kootenay Mountains. Enjoy an unforgettable day of long backcountry runs, deep, untouched powder and spectacular scenery. Those who don't opt for cat boarding will enjoy another day of coaching and riding at Red Mountain or Whitewater. Tonight will be our last night in Nelson so we'll make the most of its great nightlife and vibrant culture.
Day 8
Today we'll head back to either Red Mountain or Whitewater to enjoy our last day of riding and coaching in the Nelson area. After our day on the mountain we'll jump in the vans for a 2.5 hour drive to Cranbrook, arriving just in time for a final dinner and drinks to farewell those who opted for our 9-day Canada snowboard tour.
Day 9
Those on our 9-day Canada snowboard tour will be transported to Cranbrook Airport for their flight back to Calgary. The rest of us will enjoy a relaxed morning (time to sleep in!) before continuing in the van to our final destination Golden, home to world-famous Kicking Horse Resort. Today is a rest day. We'll take a 3.5 hour drive through breathtaking scenery, stopping along the way to enjoy the views, grab some food and visit the renown Radium Hotsprings. We'll arrive in Golden early evening, just in time to test out one of the quality restaurants in this small, but lively resort town. Our accommodation will be a stylish 4½ hotel located in the center of downtown Golden.
