Marmot Basin

Welcome to Jasper's Marmot Basin in beautiful, rugged Jasper National Park. Take a deep breath and prepare yourself for the adventure! Skiing in the Canadian Rockies doesn't get much better!

Large, snow filled bowls are paradise for powder skiers and snowboarders. For those who enjoy cruising, our state of the art grooming fleet keeps the tree-lined trails groomed to perfection.

Those who have already discovered Marmot Basin come back for the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the superb variety of terrain, the all around affordability, first class service, and the spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery.

 
Trails and Routes

General:

Only 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Marmot Basin provides 84 named trails on over 1,675 acres of terrain supported by world class facilities. The mountain offers 3,000 vertical feet of skiing and snowboarding on 100% natural, dry, Rocky Mountain powder.

The ski area's modern lift system carries 11,931 skiers uphill per hour and Marmot Basin is one of the least crowded ski areas of its size in all of North America. From long, gentle, winding novice runs, to steep, high alpine bowls and chutes, skiers and snowboarders of all abilities will find what they are looking for at Marmot Basin.

Ski School: Alpine Sports Training Centre offers lessons for first time skiers and snowboarders, high performance clinics, freeride clinics, private lessons and a variety of children's programs

Nursery: Little Rascals Nursery for children 19 months to 7 years of age

Day Lodges: Three mountain day lodges; one at the base area and two at mid-mountain.

Marmot Basin is a beautiful place, hidden in the rockies of jasper, its never really busy so you spend more time shreding it up then waiting in line and not to forget the food is great
