8 Feet of New Snow in 5 Days at Boreal

The recent storm that blew into Donner Summit on Sunday afternoon has dropped 8 feet of fresh snow on the ski trails at Boreal making for season�s best conditions for weekend skiers and snowboarders.

�Staying on top of the back to back storms was our top priority� said Shaydar Edelmann, Director of Mountain Operations at Boreal. �Skiers and riders that braved the storm had grins from ear to ear, powder turns one after another� he added.

Boreal is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily. �Boreal�s new 1-2-3 Ride Free Beginner program is attracting thousands of skiers and riders this season� said Ski School Manager, Nate Ellis. With a Free Season Pass offered at the end of our three lesson program, graduates get to enjoy the rest of the season for free.

�This storm, coupled with Boreal�s earliest season opening on October 9th has set the stage for an amazing season� said Jody Churich, General Manager at Boreal. �Plenty of snow, clear weather for the weekend, Boreal�s 5 terrain parks and an open freeway is the perfect scenario to get out and ski� she added.
