This winter Crystal is adding Mammoth in North America, Itter and Hinterglemm in Austria and La Toussuire in France.

The sprawling resort of Mammoth in the Sierra Nevada mountains has an impressive snow record and the ski area is suitable for all abilities: some challenging terrain, lots of great cruising, excellent for beginners. Snowboarders in particular love the terrain parks, but
also the natural bowls, chutes, cliffs and tree runs on this big ski hill. Combine Mammoth with a few nights in Santa Monica from only $69 per person. Pre-book your lift pass and receive up to two lift passes free (saving of up to $430!).

The two new Austrian resorts are the small, quieter village of Itter in the Ski Welt, Austria's largest and fully integrated ski area with 279km of varied and interesting runs and a network of modern lift and Hinterglemm which offers quick and easy access to the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski area and has most of the north facing runs.

La Toussuire in France is part of one of the biggest ski areas in the Alps, the Les Sybelles, with over 300km of groomed pistes. Predominantly modern La Toussuire is one of the central resorts with a car-free main street and skiing above the tree line.

With Crystal you not only have more destinations to fly to, you also have more UK departure airports from which to choose. Which means you can go to wherever you want from wherever you want.

According to a visitor survey by OnTheSnow.com, the most-visited snow sports portal on the Internet, the best nightlife and downhill terrain of any Midwest ski resort can be found at Shanty Creek Resorts in Northern Michigan.

OnTheSnow.com, which attracts a Nielsen-audited 1.2 million unique monthly visitors during the winter, gave its visitors the opportunity to write reviews of all r
esorts in North America. Visitors then ranked them in five categories: Overall Favorite, Best Nightlife, Most Family-Friendly, Best Downhill Terrain, and Best Terrain Park. More than 7,500 reviews were submitted from September 2007 until April 2008. The ratings were based primarily on readers' average ranking, number of reviews, and specific comments made in OnTheSnow.com over the winter season. There are a variety of restaurants, many with entertainment at Shanty Creek’s three unique Michigan resort villages. The terrain is welcoming to skiers of all ability levels.

"More and more skiers and snowboarders are relying on the word of their peers when they make resort choices," said Mountain News President and Publisher Rob Brown, whose company publishes OnTheSnow.com. "We believe the importance of reader advisories will continue to grow each year and these annual awards provide a peek into their thinking."

Reviewers were clear in their comments about Shanty Creek Michigan ski resorts. Wrote one commenter: "Schuss hills are great. Not much of a wait for the lifts. Excellent family facility. They have a lot of different activities going on so there is always something to do. The staff is very friendly, and they act like they actually care about your stay at their resort. My husband loved the terrain park with the half pipe. The conditions are great and priced for everyone to enjoy."

For the first time ever, the exclusive Spring Creek Ranch in Colorado will be open to one lucky family over the winter Holidays. Against the breathtaking Colorado winter backdrop, the Ranch offers up a rich experience and all the activities of a working cattle ranch. From the fully stocked wine cellar to the snowmobiles, this private 1,200 acre cattle ranch, including horses, chickens, goats and a diversity of wildlife, is completely yours for the week. Enjoy a truly magical country winter holiday and unforgettable New Year's experience under the wide-open sky.

Rise in the morning and take a short walk across fresh powdery snow to collect your fresh eggs for breakfast from the barn. If you're in the mood, the wrangler will saddle up horses and take you for a ride around the ranch. It will be so quiet and peaceful that the only sound you will hear is the snow crunching under the horses' hooves. Join the ranch crew as they make their daily rounds feeding the animals and checking the fence lines or pack a picnic and head out on snowshoes, cross-country skis or snowmobiles.

Just a little over an hour away from Aspen, the ranch is nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and boasts sweeping views of undeveloped national forest. Featuring a 4,800 square-foot ranch house showcased in House and Garden and completely decorated in Ralph Lauren furnishings and authentic antiques, the ranch has a total of five beautifully appointed bedrooms. Its rustic charm is highlighted by the front and back porches that run the length of the house.

Upon your arrival you will be met by the owner or ranch manager and given a tour of the premises. Two refrigerators will be filled with the best eats and a cowboy chef is available to prepare simple delicious meals. Curl up in front of the blazing fireplace at night with a selection from the wine cellar, enjoy a game of billiards or watch a good movie on a big screen television. If you must occasionally touch base with civilization, make use of the office with wireless Internet.

Our concierge service can arrange a myriad of activities, including skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, a day of shopping, gourmet wine tasting or dinner at one of the best restaurants in the world.

If you are traveling for winter, you might as well get ski travel insurance. This is the practical thing to do. You get to travel and at the same time you don't need to worry about what could happen. Ski travel insurance is a security blanket that will make you feel safe wherever you are.

Generally, ski travel insurance can last throughout the year. The normal range is from 3 to 183 da
ys for one trip. Thus insurance holders of this plan make the most of the annual-multi package by traveling for as much as they can with only one ski travel insurance plan.

Ski travel insurance also covers the winter sports such as snowboarding and off piste skiing. If ever there is a need for baggage declaration, this is also possible. The additional cover charges for adventure sports are covered.

Some features of the plan also include a free package for children below the age of 18.
