At the beginning of the last winter season Nikita launched the Snowboard Clip Contest. An open invite to any girls to send in some short video clips of themselves riding. They had all season through from October to the end of March to get some footage together and send it in to Nikita HQ in Iceland to check out.

On offer for the winner, apart from getting the thumbs up from the Nikita crew including one of the judges Heida Birgisdottir, was an all-expenses paid trip to Iceland. The winner would be taken to and shown around some fantastic national hotspots, enjoy some fine wine and dining plus get kitted out in all the latest Nikita streetwear and outerwear.

Getting pretty excited about riding, watching all the footage sent in by the girls, the judges decided on a winner. The winner was Ashley Thornton from the USA, along with a few runners up who were also stoked to get a new outerwear set up each. So at the end of May Ashley flew over to Reykjavik to meet with the crew at Nikita HQ.
