Canada's First Nations Snowboard Team will be going to Vancouver this coming weekend to take part in a training camp that will prepare them not just for the upcoming snowboarding season but eventually for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

In the said training which will be sponsored by YWCA, 25 members of the team's high performance division will receive first-rate coaching, advice, and training on nutrition, sports psychology, conditioning, and more.

First Nations Snowboard Team was established back in 2004 and is supported by the Aboriginal Youth Sport Legacy Fund. Its main objective is to help young natives improve their quality of life. At present, the team is made up of nine divisions with 140 athletes.
