Snowboarder Receives Scholarship from Vail Resorts

Matt Rivera, a passionate snowboarder who dropped out of high school in Leadville, Colorado to pursue snowboarding, recently received a $20,000 scholarship to learn about the skiing industry.
The scholarship was given by Vail Resorts. It covers the expenses for tuition, room and board, books, as well as other fees needed for his studies.
Rivera will soon attend Colorado Mountain College Timberline Campus, located in Leadville, to pursue an associated degree in ski area operations.
According to the young snowboarder, he hopes to work for either Vail or Beaver Creek after earning his degree.
