Heavenly Mountain Resort Awards Scholarships

The Heavenly Mountain Resort in south Lake Tahoe had recently revealed this year's recipients of the Heavenly Resort Community Scholarship Program.

The recipients include Whittell High School's Nora Esders, South Tahoe High School's Karli Vath and Cierra Rawlings, and Douglas County High School's Bridgett Maestretti and Ryan Bugg. These five high school graduates will receive $4,000 each.

The Heavenly Resort Community Scholarship Program's main objective is to provide financial assistance to qualified high school students for their college education.

At present, the ski and snowboard resort has awarded scholarships to a total of 30 local students.
