Teen Snowboarder to Compete in National Event


MONDAY, 24 MARCH 2008

Jacob Riddell, a 13-year old snowboarder, recently qualified for an upcoming national snowboarding competition.

The seventh grader from Walker Middle School will head out to Copper Mountain, Colorado to take part in the United States of America Snowboard Association Nationals event which will be held from March 30 to April 4. Riddell will be competing in both the Slalom and Giant Slalom races.

The young snowboarder also made his mark in the national rankings on two disciplines. He is currently at 46th place in giant slalom and 55th in slalom.
