Japanese Snowboarder Still Missing


THURSDAY, 27 MARCH 2008

According to the Foreign Ministry of Japan, a Japanese woman was missing last March 20. She was last seen snowboarding at Mount Blackcomb, Whistler, British Columbia. The snowboarder was identified as Ai Ito. She is currently studying in Canada.

According to reports, Ito was last seen on the said ski resort at around eleven, Thursday morning. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police informed the National Police Agency regarding the missing Japanese snowboarder. The NPA notified the ministry last Monday.

Meanwhile, authorities have dispatched helicopter and dog teams to assist in the ongoing search and rescue operation.
