Andreas Wiig Wins Gold at Snowboard SlopeStyle

Norway’s top snowboarder Andreas Wiig bagged the Snowboard SlopeStyle gold at the recently concluded ESPN X Games 12, held at Aspen, Colorado.

Wiig has impressed the judges and spectators by exhibiting a perfect run of 900 degrees and 1080-degree aerial rotation, snatching the gold from six-time X Games gold medalist Shaun White.

At the Men’s Snowboard SlopeStyle, snowboarders ride down the hill while exhibiting various freestyle moves that best showcase their speed, agility, and aerial skills.

Aside from Wiig, event winners include Norwich, Vermont’s Kevin Pearce who won the silver medal, and White who bagged the bronze medal.
