Vail Teenager to Join U.S. Rookie Squad

Fourteen-year old Broc Waring has been selected to join the U.S. Snowboarding Freestyle Team's rookie squad.
Waring, who is from Vail, Colorado and an eighth-grader at Vail Mountain School, has been participating in halfpipe competitions since he was 11 years old. He is also a long time rider with the Ski and Snowboard Club Vail.
Waring will be joining Minturn's Dylan Bidez in the rookie team. They will be joined in by Bidez' sister, Clair, on the women's halfpipe team, raising the chances for winning the Vail Valley Olympic snowboarding medal.
