Mountain Sports Media donates gear to SOS

Local ski/snowboard enthusiast, Mountain Sports Media, located on Pearl Street in Boulder, has agreed to donate hats, goggles, and other ski/snowboard gear to the Snowboard Outreach Society’s annual equipment and clothing drive. The SOS provides high-quality recreation programs to youth who benefit from the structure and consistency of the SOS curriculum. SOS offers snowboarding and civic engagement opportunities to youth who may be underserved or considered at-risk.

Through snowboarding lessons, and adult mentor relationships that are central to the learning, SOS accomplishes its mission of building character in at-risk and underprivileged youth to enhance decision-making for healthy and successful life experiences. The collection is taking place until January 1, 2007, and items are being collected at the Volunteer Connection of Boulder County, located at 2885 E. Aurora Avenue #32 Boulder, CO 80305.
