Wir Schanzen Tournee to be Held in Allgau Region

WEDNESDAY, 29 NOVEMBER 2006

After two successful issues of the Wir Schanzen Tournee in the Allgäu region, the ski & snowboard contest series has evolved into an inherent part of the German wintersports scene. For the third issue, the organizer, sponsors and partners will come up again with several specials to top the WST 2006, which was won by Friedl May (snowboard) and Xaver Gehring (ski) in all respects. Also in the other categories (girls & kids) important Wir Schanzen points, rewards and a lot of prize money can be won from February 2007 on.

This time the tour is going to be inaugurated by the slopestyle-contest "5ive Gäng Bäng" in Nesselwang, where - in cooperation with Schneestern parks & more and the Alpspitzbahn Nesselwang - a very nice setup will be presented again. People can join the winners at the afterparty until the early morning.

On February the 17th, over 3.000 spectators are going to encourage the snowboarders and freeskiers at the "Iron Night" on the Crystal Ground in Riezlern, who can get familiar with the new park layout during the day and who have perfect conditions for hard action with three rail lines and a kicker line. The legendary best trick contest as well as the infamous Funk-afterparty are going to top off the Wir Schanzen-highlight.

At the "Night on Snow", that takes place on March, 3rd in Pfronten, snowboarders & freeskiers will meet FMXers and Skidoo-freestyle riders again to celebrate a spectacular contest.

Also the live-act is going to outstrip the "Massive Töne", who rocked the vibes last time. The preparations for the setup are running at full speed at Schneestern parks & more, who are also responsible for the setup at the Air & Style 2006, to provide an exciting and innovative setup for the "Night on Snow", that offers unequalled opportunities in Germany.

At the "A-Man Slopestyle" on March 17th the riding community can expect a monster-kicker with a fresh rail-line and the usual relaxed atmosphere, for which the "A-Man" competitions are famous for six years now. The awarding ceremony as well as the following live concert in Memmingen is also worth catching.

The last competition of the Wir Schanzen Tournee 2007 will be "The Barbecue" at the easter weekend on April, the 7th on the Fellhorn/Oberstdorf. All riders are invited to a relaxed season-finish with steaks, live music, hard rail-action and a lot of surprises. After the several past mottos like Rock’n Roll, Country, etc you can be looking forward to the upcoming contest-style.
