Slopestyle Competition at Okemo on Feb. 26

WEDNESDAY, 22 FEBRUARY 2006

Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont have prepared an array of activities and competitions for its attendees that will take place on February 26.

Skiers and snowboarders are invited for a friendly slopestyle competition. The Okemo Series Freeride Event will take place in the Dew Zone Terrain Park. The park is equipped with Okemo's new Staircase Feature, a 20-foot-long butterbox, a U-box, a C-box and a 30-foot flat-to-down.

Registration starts 8 a.m. In the Mezzanine of the Okemo base lodge. Entry fee costs $20, not inclusive of lift ticket and season pass.

Also, Okemo will host the Chevy “American Revolution” Days where participants can enjoy a fun and educational vehicle walk-through. Vehicles include different models of cars and trucks from 2006 and the new 2007 Tahoe. Moreover, an Apres Ski Party awaits Okemo visitors at the Sitting Bull.
