Big Fish Freeze Style Event to be Held Feb. 24-26

A “Big Fish Freeze Style” event is set to kick off on February 24-26 at Big Mountain Resort in Whitefish, Montana. The three-day event will compose of Northern Division Freestyle competition in the “Big Fish Freeze Style” air and moguls event. United States Ski Association (USSA) competitor membership is required in sanctioned events, but the resort also offers a citizen's class in the competitions where a license is not required.
The “Big Air” competitions will take place on Feb. 24 at the Knox Landing jump site for both USSA members and non-USSA members. USSA athletes will do mandatory inverted aerial jumps while more traditional moves will be available to non-USSA members.
The moguls competition in the meanwhile, will be held on Feb. 25 at the “Heep Steep” ski run. Categories will be available for both members and non-members. Moreover, the Dual Moguls will be held on Feb. 26 on the same course.
Registration will be held at the Information Center from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Feb. 23 and from 8:00-9:00 a.m. on Feb. 24. All competitors are required to wear an approved helmet. Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign waiver of liability.
