The exciting Côté Obscur Big-Air Competition will be held on at March 3 and 4 at Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort in Quebec, Canada. Riders will battle it out for $10,000 in cash and prizes by taking on a 60 foot l
ong table and reaching heights of up to 30 feet in the air!
Pre-registration can be via fax or at the Adrenaline Boardhop until March 2. Registration fee before March 2 is $50 but resort employees will only have to pay $40. After March 2, lift tickets will be $60. Fees do not include lift ticket. Moreover, participants under 18 years old are required to have their parents to sign a waiver.

Thursday, 23 February 2006Belleayre Mountain in Highmount, New York is inviting skiers and riders to join the 5th Annual Denis Germain Memorial Ski Race. The competition will take place on February 25. Its proceeds will all go to the Denis Germain Scholarship Fund which is given to members of the ski club at Suffern High School.
Registration fee is $25 and includes an all-day lift ticket, race fee and event t- shirt. The competition is limited to only 200 participants. Those who already have a lift ticket and wish to race will only have to pay $15, while t-shirts will cost $10. Registration is on site and will take place from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the Garden Room of the Overlook Lodge. Categories are divided by male & female in the following age groups for skiers: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-34, 35-49, 50-64 and 65 & over. Snowboarding categories are 10 & under, 11-18 and 19 & over.
Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. This event is to commemorate the passing of Denis Germain, a firefighter who lost his life in the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. For more details, visit www.belleayre.com.
Thursday, 23 February 2006A “Big Fish Freeze Style” event is set to kick off on February 24-26 at Big Mountain Resort in Whitefish, Montana. The three-day event will compose of Northern Division Freestyle competition in the “Big Fish Freeze Style” air and moguls event. United States Ski Association (USSA) competitor membership is required in sanctioned events, but the resort also offers a citizen's class in the competitio ns where a license is not required.
The “Big Air” competitions will take place on Feb. 24 at the Knox Landing jump site for both USSA members and non-USSA members. USSA athletes will do mandatory inverted aerial jumps while more traditional moves will be available to non-USSA members.
The moguls competition in the meanwhile, will be held on Feb. 25 at the “Heep Steep” ski run. Categories will be available for both members and non-members. Moreover, the Dual Moguls will be held on Feb. 26 on the same course.
Registration will be held at the Information Center from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Feb. 23 and from 8:00-9:00 a.m. on Feb. 24. All competitors are required to wear an approved helmet. Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign waiver of liability.

Wednesday, 22 February 2006Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont have prepared an array of activities and competitions for its attendees that will take place on February 26.
Skiers and snowboarders are invited for a friendly slopestyle competition. The Okemo Series Freeride Event will take place in the Dew Zone Terrain Park. The park is equipped with Okemo's new Staircase Feature, a 20-foot-long butterbox, a U-box, a C-box and a 30-foot flat-to-down.
Registration starts 8 a.m. In the Mezzanine of the Okemo base lodge. Entry fee costs $20, not inclusive of lift ticket and season pass.
Also, Okemo will host the Chevy “American Revolution” Days where participants can enjoy a fun and educational vehicle walk-through. Vehicles include different models of cars and trucks from 2006 and the new 2007 Tahoe. Moreover, an Apres Ski Party awaits Okemo visitors at the Sitting Bull.
