Burton European Open to be Held on Jan. 14-21

TUESDAY, 20 DECEMBER 2005

Over 500 riders will descend on Flims Laax Falera Resort on January 14 to 21 to compete for the Burton European Open (BEO) 2006. Excellent pipes and parks await the participants as well as a whopping $125,000 up for grabs this year.

The event will take place in the Crap Sogn Gion area. The first two days will compose of the junior categories where young riders will compete to qualify for the finals. Participants in the Slopestyle discipline will battle it out on Jan. 16-18 and 20. The Halfpipe competition will be held on the 19th. Aside from the competition, there will be a "LAAX Vegas Gambling Night" on Jan. 19 and a party at Riders Palace on Jan. 21 featuring Swedish band MANDO DIAO.

Registration to compete is already closed. However, in the event that there are any cancellations, interested riders will be informed of any openings.
