Holiday Valley Resort Opens for 48th Season Today

Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicotville, NY opened early for their 48th season today. Ranked as the 5th best resort in the East by SKI Magazine subscribers, the resort certainly has been spending a lot of money to ensure quality slopes and services to its guests.
Last 04-05 season, Holiday Valley invested $3 million dollars alone to improve the resort. This 05-06 season, the resort has spent over $2.7 million to widening of terrains, lighting, snowmaking equipment, groomers, and new facilities. Construction and improvements will continue in the summer.
Twelve slopes and three lifts are in operation. Additional lifts and trails will be opened in accordance to the weather. Lift tickets are $18 for night skiing, $28 for 8 hours, and $25 for four hours. However, the resort will close Tuesday to Thursday due to warm weather conditions.
