Rome Snowboarding Gear 2008 - 2009 Overview
Some riders complain that they can’t find a “deal” on Rome boards at their local shop. That’s because Rome builds Snowboards with a unique blend of technology and irreverence that has riders reaching for their wallets before the “post-holiday sales” happen in January.
Boards coming from the Rome SDS consistently receive critical acclaim and rider praise for their performance as well as their style. While style is important to Rome, it is what’s inside the boards - the inner core technologies - that keeps landing them in industry leading board tests.
Whether you’re taking a heli trip to Alaska, driving all night for a weekend excursion to Stowe or spending your first full day in a terrain park on rails, Rome delivers innovative board designs that elevate riding performance.

390
Underwrapping Power, Merged with the Freedom to Tweak
If one word sums up the 390’s design personality, it is BALANCE. More than anything, it balances flexibility with power. The moderate flex of the highback, new low profile of the ankle strap and side-to-side freedom of the baseplate-heel hoop unit define the 390’s dominant feeling of freedom that most rail and park riders prefer. The UnderWrap heel hoop, highback rotation adjustment and seamless spine geometry of the highback define the toe-to-heel power transfer that all of snowboarding need. Coring in the highback and the heel hoop keep this one of the lightest bindings in snowboarding.
Strut
All-Mountain Response - Contoured to the Rider
The Strut delivers large dose of performance-enhancing features. For equal parts response and comfort, the anatomically contoured highback delivers power on the lateral side with calf relief on the medial side. The ConFormist toe strap gives riders the lightweight, low-profile freedom to run their toe strap the way they like to. The UnderWrap heel hoop lays that signature SDS toe-to-heel direct power. The result is a binding that blends comfort, rider-customization, and quick response.
