Hot Chillys Snowboarding Gear 2007 - 2008 Overview
Hot Chillys has led the performance apparel industry for two decades with moisture managing base layer technology. When founded in 1985, Hot Chillys revolutionized the ski market with performance snowsports “warm wear” (base layer underwear) incorporating fabric technologies previously found primarily in running apparel. The company now offers a complete collection of base layers, performance underwear, and performance socks for men, women and children.
New Styles in Micro-Elite Chamois
The Women’s Micro-Elite Chamois Women’s Panel Zip-T offers technical features with a feminine flair. The Micro-Elite Chamois
fabrics include the Bio-Silver anti-microbial properties that reduce bacteria and odor naturally. Soft knitting and compression points also offer a softer-hand while helping with muscle fatigue.
The Panel Zip-T is a contoured body fit with the soft cotton feel, while the flat seam construction helps with seam strength while
eliminated abrasion. The Panel Zip-T offers a UPF rating of 30 and sits nicely as an “8” on the Hot Chillys Warmth Factor. MSRP is $70.
New Prints In PepperSkins
Hot Chillys PepperSkins collection debuts hot new prints for men, women and kids. PepperSkins offers the performance and warmth you trust from Hot Chillys, while these fun new prints arm you with style and flair for the a day at the hill. New prints for women include Meadow (pictured, at left) and Scottie. For men, Hot Chillys introduces Storm and Tweed. New kids prints include Daisy, Hearts, Meadow, Skulls and Storm. Men’s and women’s retail $25 to $32.50. Kids retail for $22.50 to $27.50.
PeachSkins Prints
Hot Chillys introduces prints to its women’s PeachSkins tops for the first time. These chic, feminine prints give a ready-to-wear quality to these technical base layer tops. PeachSkins offers superior base layer performance while feeling like silk. Two new prints, Plaid (pictured, at left) and Monarch, will be offered on select women’s tops. $30 to $40 retail.
Ortega Fleece Performance Fabric
Hot Chillys heats up its men’s offering with the launch of a new technical fabrication, Ortega Fleece. This expedition weight fabric marks one of Hot Chillys’ warmest outer layer insulation products. Ortega Fleece is the ideal companion for every winter sport including high aerobic activities such as trail running and Nordic skiing. Available for men only and retails between $70-$85.
Picante Fleece Fabrication
Hot Chillys unveils its warmest fleece fabrication to date for men and women. This new plush, relaxed fit fleece offers superior
performance and versatility for any winter sport or activity. Picante Fleece is designed to perform as a base layer, mid layer or worn alone. Picante Fleece is offered in men’s and women’s styles and range in price from $55 to $65.
Winter Sport Socks Collection
Hot Chillys introduces its most technically advanced winter sport sock collection ever created. The new Premier Winter Sport Socks feature Bio-Silver Technology, moisture managing yarns, a moisture transfer chimney, smooth looped toe closure, an arch stabilization band and an articulated hinge at the ankle break. Hot Chillys’ new knitting construction delivers warmth and moisture management in a very low profile construction that dramatically reduces bulk inside the boot without sacrificing performance. Premier Winter Sport Socks are available for men and women in three different weights: Lo-Volume, Mid-Volume and Hi-Volume and range in price from $17.50 to $19.50. The new Pepper Winter Sport Socks offer excellent warmth in stylish new prints including camo, argyle (picture, above) and snowflake. Pepper Winter Sport Socks are available in two thicknesses: Medium and Hot. Men’s and Women’s Adult Medium and Hot retail for $10, while Kids’ Medium are $9 retail.
