I''ve only been snowboarding four times now but I''m completely hooked. I can''t get enough. It''s all I seem to think about and talk about. This last trip I finally made it down a run without falling, w00t! I just want to scream how great it is! Whew, feel better. Anyone else have snow fever?

I may be poor but that seasons pass i bought in september has been recouped 10 fold! 2nd season riding...just the beginning of years to come!

yeah, i couldn't agree more!!! i've only been boarding for a year or two...but man i love it so much! there's just so much that you can do!! yo you guys see this site yet?
check it. red bull built this ridiculous half pipe in CO.
Try one of these: Light 'n Fit, Danone's Cardivia and Silhouette,
Yoplait's Light and Source, Astro's Fat-free and Jeunesse as well as
Stonyfield's Light. They all have under 120 cal. and 1-4 grams of fat.
I know it is silly of me, but i bought snowboarding gear even without ever trying out snowboarding... i initially tried sking last year 2009 and i had hard time getting used to moving around with the heavy ski boots, even more difficult time trying to control the two skis, i didn't like it at all... I saw snowboarders zipping pass me and though that it looks like it is a cool and thought to myself that i want to be a snowboarder... (i guess one plank is easier to maneuver than two planks...) hahaha...
_
Last year 2009, i started my buying spree, i went to a local ski shop and got my first snowboard package:Snowjam Dimension 148, Board Factory Bindings, and Burton Moto 8.5 boots...
_
Later i added 2 more boards: a Forum Team 147, and a HEAD Transit i 155.Snowboard thread:Columbia snowboard jacket and pant, Billabong Jacket and Section pants; another pair of boots = Burton H.O.D. Coalition, snowboard goggle:Dragon Rogue and VonZipper Sizzle, but most important gear is a complete head to toe snowboard protective gear:Demon Snow wrist guard, Demon Flex Force High Armor, Black Diamond Telekneesis kneepad, Giro 9. Nine helmet - (i read about most frequent injuries suffered by snowboarders = the number one being broken wrist or arm, and bruised tailbone from falling on the bum or rear) I believe in having fun... but why risk possible injury, if i can lessen it with prevention... i will do that.
_
Me and my sister just went on our 4-day winter vacation to Killington, VT... she is a skier and i'm a snowboarder, snowboarding is much harder than i thought and me being out of shape did not help at all, even with protective gear, i paid my dues to learn it. I strongly advice beginners to get lessons, it really helps to get instructions and tips from an expert. Thanks to John B. and John (snowboard instructors were very patient and helpful)
_
Now I can say i am truly hooked!!!

i forgot the most important protective gear - impact shorts... fell a lot of times and it still hurt... it could have been worse without it. definitely saved my bottom from more pain..
