If you want to have stupid fun, get a grip of the Burton NUG 2012. This is so far the best snowboard you can probably get in 2012. If you charge enough, go straight to the park, make some sweet jumps and boxes, you will definitely have serious fun! This super-short board was trimmed down by Burton designers as they attempt to make snowboarding more convenient and comfortable for all riders. The vision of the designers is basically to make high performance boards like the NUG punier. In their quest to answer the demands of most riders, they have trimmed down the board in order for riders to have a feel of a stylish yet high-performance board that can surely bring a lot of fun.

The 10 inch smaller board makes riding much fun and easy for novice snowboarders as they won’t have a hard time figuring out how to get to the center and achieve stability. The board is itself designed to increase balance so riders can have more concentration and precision in executing their favorite tricks. Any newbie can enjoy the fun the board promises with its new and improved V-Rocker. The sidings of the board shows more thickness past behind the bindings of the tip and the tail. Why did they do this?

Probably everyone heard about many riders’ grievances with the previous versions of the V-Rocker, that it wasn’t that enough stable at high speeds and when it wasn’t perfect to pop off sweet jumps. Added to that, the board also looped out on landings. So basically this early release of Burtons’ new flagship is a response to those complains. So what they fundamentally did was change the flex pattern. The squeezebox is now more stable than the previous ones, and when the board makes contact with the snow, riders would feel more at the center rather than being chaotically out of balance.

Another thing noticeable about the new NUG is its longer and taller nose and tail. The aim of the designers is to somehow minimize the abruptness of transition coming off from the tail and tip. So basically what the board does is give more stability and comfort. I bet riders would be asking for more innovations sometime soon when they find some drawbacks with this board.
