Arosa
Arosa is situated at the end of the Schanfigg valley. The area, owing to its location, is frequently sunny and sheltered from the wind.
This classic holiday resort has been a well-known and popular alpine health resort since 1877. On the average, the sun shines eight to twelve hours a day.
Arosa, also called as the "generation holidays place" with special "Alpen Club - Micky Maus" up on 1800 meters in height, is without transit traffic and has a night driving ban.
Peace, good air, intact Flora and Fauna are our core authorities. For unencumbered recovery and intensive mountain experience cablecars, bus, bathing beach, Pedalos and much more is during the summer-season free for our Guests.
*From tram to mountain train: The Arosa Express ambles across Chur as a tram, alongside the town wall, Maltese tower and the Upper Gate, landmarks of this market town. But then it becomes more than just a town stroll on the rails because, at the edge of the town, the shining blue Arosa Express becomes a mountain train and twists and turns through the Schanfigger valley to the well-known holiday resort of Arosa. On this section, although only 26 km long, the train climbs more than a thousand kilometres higher.
Winter at Arosa The traditional holiday destination of Arosa, in Graubünden, has been a well-known and extremely popular alpine health resort for more than 100 years. On average, the sun shines eight to twelve hours a day and, due to the northerly location, there is always plenty of snow.
Arosa lies a 'snow sure' 1,800 metres above sea level in a wonderful location at the top of a valley. Whether you ski right back to your hotel entrance on your new carving skis at the end of the day, whether you enjoy walking along the winter footpaths going straight through the middle of the ski area or whether you listen to the snow crunching beneath your feet on your way through the village - here you are right in the middle of everything instead of just nearby.
