Active in Winter Time:
Wengen, ideally situated in the ski center Kleine Scheidegg - Männlichen with its famous Lauberhorn and Eigergletscher runs, is one of the most attractive and popular winter sport villages in Switzerland. Every year in January, Wengen hosts the Lauberhorn Downhill Ski Race - surely the most spectacular race of the whole world cup circuit. For the non - skier Wengen offers relaxation in pure mountain air and many hours of sunshine are guaranteed, even in winter.

Situated in the center of the Bernese Oberland and lying at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountain range, Wengen is an ideal place to relax, walk and mountain climb - 15 cable cars take the visitor to the most beautiful viewpoints in the area. As the sporty highlight in summer, the toughest marathon in the world - the international Jungfrau Marathon - passes through Wengen in early September.
