Dundret
Experience Dundret's world, filled with skiing and activities such as snowmobile, dogsledding and helicopter sightseeing. The ski season is over but you are welcome to visit us anyway. During the summer season, from May to October, you can stay in our cabins and experience our fantastic nature. Dundret is the ultimate facility for everyone. Here can the family, the company kick-off and the party people find enjoyment and pleasure all year around.
ACTIVITIES Snowmobile tours – a sense of freedom Guided tours through the Lapland wilderness on and around Dundret. Over frozen lakes and swamps, through forest and up on the mountain top.
Our knowledgeable guides ensure that your safety and comfort are the prime considerations on these tours. Choose between short or long tours. Go on the Northern Lights tour and experience Aurora borealis (the Northern Lights) at the latitude where it’s visible most frequently. Experience authentic Sami/Lapp culture and have a close encounter with the Sami/Lapps themselves and their reindeer. We travel two to a snowmobile, unless you specifically request a solo ride.
You don’t have to worry about clothing. We’ll provide a waterproof overall, boots, gloves and a helmet. All tours start and end at Reception.
Dog sledding – an experience with a difference Travel by dog sled straight out into the winter landscape. Travel on nature’s terms, pulled by dogs that are eager and impatient to get going! But once the snow anchor is released, they fall silent. Then the only sound is the padding of their paws on the snow and the command calls of your driver.
The journey takes us through forest, over frozen lakes and swamps sitting in large sleds with space for four people, drawn by 10-14 dogs.
Snowland – kids’ eldorado! The kids’ favourite place, with its own lift. This is where the tiny tots gather – maybe even ski their very first slope!
You never know if there will be an open fire burning. But you can rely on an appearance by our own mascot the Dundret Bear to give the children a ride on the Snow Train. And all who dare will get a big warm hug from the Dundret Bear. Pulkas (small boat-like sleds) are always available to borrow.
Helicopter tour – It’s right up there! In cooperation with Norrlandsflyg AB, we offer helicopter tours with takeoff and landing outside Reception.
Who can resist the idea of a thrilling excursion by helicopter? We organise short trips, round trips, day excursions to the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi and excursion for off-piste skiing in the area of Mount Kebnekaise.
A helicopter is unbeatable for travelling fast over terrain without access roads. It’s also unbeatable for getting a bird’s eye view of the landscape. Why not be one of the first of your friends to try it!
We can tailor the experience just for you.

Dundret offers a variety of activities for people of all ages. Ski slopes include everything from the most difficult slopes - including off-piste - for the more experienced, to the children’s slope Snölandsbacken. For those you who are still children at heart, there’s also a fun park.
All the slopes are well-groomed and of a high standard. You can get tips from our sports hosts and hostesses on improving your technique and get inspired about your skiing again.
From Dundret, you can cross-country ski along our 10 km of groomed trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Choose from trails on the mountain or try a more challenging trail that winds its way through undulating forest terrain. All our trails connect up to the local municipal trail loops, giving a total of 100 km of trails. |
