Voss is situated between Norway´s most famous fjords, the majestic and breathtaking Hardanger and Sogn fjords, and is a natural starting point for exploring Fjord, Norway.

Voss in Winter
The varied mountain terrain around Voss could have been made for winter sports. It is not without reason that Voss has fostered more Olympic participants than any other place in the world. Voss offers excellent nursery slopes as well as demanding terrain for the most experienced. Voss has also excellent facilities for powder-snow sports. The season is normally from December to April.

Floodlight Skiing
Every Wednesday and Friday, there is floodlight skiing in Bavallen from 17 - 21 h.

For the Children
Voss also offers a full programme of activities with professional instructors and a children´s play area - "Badnakrokjen" (Kid´s Corner) with a separate Children´s lift.

Ski School
Voss Ski & Surf runs the local Ski School which is situated at the upper cable car station.

Open daily throughout the whole season.

All instructors are English speaking, and instruction is given in alpine, cross country, telemark, and snowboard.
