Folgarida Marilleva
In the western part of the province of Trentino, between Lake Garda and South Tyrol, lies Val di Sole, which is surrounded by some of the most famous mountain groups of the Alps: the Brenta - Dolomites, the Adamello-Presanella Massive and the Ortler Cevedal Group.
This extraordinary geographic location is the reason why Val di Sole enjoys such remarkably good weather conditions: it snows often and abundantly. The mild air of Lake Garda meets the cold air currents coming down from the eternal glaciers in Presena and the Cevedale Massive. As a result the valley has one of the highest precipitation rates of the entire Alps. But even if precipitation is low, the artificial snow machines in all of the ski centers provide excellent and safe skiing conditions from the start till the end of the season.
