Location
The holiday region of Oberstaufen is situated in the southernmost part of Germany right in the middle of wonderful Alpine scenery, close to Lake Constance and bordering on the Austrian Alps.

Cable cars and drag lifts take you up the mountain with or without your skis so that you can enjoy the sun at altitude, go for walks or ski on the 35 kilometres of impeccably machine-prepared slopes and pistes which offer all levels of difficulty. For cross-country skiers there is a network of courses of up to 120 kilometres and in the spa town park there is a skating rink. A romantic ride on a horsedrawn sleigh always proves to be an unforgettable experience for visitors who can then forget the stress and strain of every-day life in front of a log-fire.

Sports
In this holiday region sporting activities play an important role, be they indoor or outdoor. You can play both indoor and outdoor tennis and you can go paragliding, sailing and windsurfing on the nearby Alpsee (mountain lake) as well as take part in activities such as cave tours, snow or river rafting, riding and ballooning.

The region around Oberstaufen is especially attractive for golfers. The two eighteen-hole courses in Oberstaufen-Steibis and Riefensberg, in the Bregenzer Wald, are a real challenge even for golfers who are a little spoilt. The courses offer a lot of variety. Apart from these two courses, there are ten further courses in the regions around the Alps and Lake Constance all in a radius of one hour by car from Oberstaufen.
