Looking to the new trends, we have set aside two areas reserved for those who wish to practice their freeriding, in an unbeatable setting and with all the trademarks of an authentic off-piste run: untouched powder snow, woods, etc., but with all the safety measures that are offered in the rest of the resort. The north face of the Alt de la Capa, in the Arinsal sector, is renowned by local riders as one of the best descents in Andorra, where you can descend the eastern run (off-piste) when the conditions allow.
Beside the Comellada run, which is also north facing and in the Pal sector, is an area that cannot be missed on days when there is plenty of powder. You can weave in and out of the woods, with a steep drop at the start of the run, or if you decide to go further to the right, you can descend on a run that passes all the way through the woods as there the tracks are easily wide enough.

The Half Pipe is in line with ISF-FIS regulations: 100 metres long, 20 metres wide (at the base) and a gradient of 27%. We have the option to enlarge it to 130 metres for "Super Pipe" events.

We are also considerably improving The ‘Terrain Park’ compared to last season. We are doubling the area dedicated to jumps and railings, amongst other things, to enable us to grade the various elements according to the level of difficulty. This will ease the progression of freestylers with increased safety and without getting in each others way. We have purchased various railings from a company with a lot of design and construction experience in this type of equipment. We will have various customized pieces of equipment together with different jumps so that there is plenty of choice of activities ensuring everyone can have a good time. Safety and enjoyment will go hand in hand in this unique area in the Pyrenees.
The Freestyle Area will be made up of three distinct zones: a Half Pipe in line with ISF-FIS regulations, an Activity Park area with Railings, Spines, Fun Boxes, Quarters… and finally a permanent circuit for Snowboarders and Cross Skiers. There is a drag-lift exclusively for this area, six of the latest generation snow cannons and on top of this a bar/restaurant specialising in Chinese food, ‘The Xina Igloo’, and a “chill out” area full of surprises. Everything will be livened up by the best alternative music to ensure you enjoy one of the best alternative snow areas in Europe.
